Mobox is one of the latest Metaverse platforms and in this article, I want to explain to you what is Mobox and all one needs to know to start earning money with this neo-born Metaverse.

Before starting I would like to specify that I am not a crypto expert or a blockchain guru. Indeed, this article was born from my difficulties in entering Mobox and understanding how to make money. Moreover, I haven’t found a beginner’s guide that starts from zero and guides step-by-step a noob like me. So here is my article and happy reading!

What is Mobox?

Of course, before investing in something you should have the right knowledge of what you are investing in. Be patience.

Mobox is quite different compared with other crypto games such as Axie Infinity, Cryptoblades or TheSandbox. This platform combines the best of DeFi Farming and NFTs to create what is called GameFi. In a few words, a game based on DeFi and NFTs services.

Mobox is designed to take advantage of the play-to-earn systems. Everyone can participate in different services provided by the platform, from games to NFT farming.

According to the concept of Metaverse, Mobox offers:

Fully decentralised marketplace to trade, rent and lend NFT (called Momo NFTs)
A set of tools to create NFTs
A complete collection of APIs to launch and publish games on Mobox platform.

Mobox was launched on April 2021 and is still running.

The Mobox Token

The Momoverse platform is based on a $MBOX token which operates on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). MBOX is minted on that blockchain where the 20%, 8% and 21% go to the team, strategic partnerships and marketing respectively. The 51% of tokens are mined by users through GameFi mechanics. The MBOX token has the following usage:

In-game currency: It is possible to use tokens to buy additional characters, weapons and so on, like free-to-play games
Governance: token holders will be able to submit and vote proposals to influence the platform’s development and direction
Liquidity Mining: Users can stake in various liquidity pools on the platform or stake MOMO NFTs to earn staking rewards paid in $MBOX tokens.
NFT mystery boxes: Users can stake $MBOX tokens for a chance to obtain unique MOMO NFT mystery boxes.
MOMO NFT auction: Users can bid for limited Legendary MOMO NFTs using MBOX tokens.

Ok, let’s move on to the funny aspect of Momoverse!

NFT Games

In Mobox you can find, actually, three games released by the team of the universe. They are common games very similar to others present in different app stores. But, to foster the ecosystem and realise the potential of NFT’s technology, it is possible to use across all the games the MOMO NFTs.

MOBOX NFT Farmer

Maybe MOMO: NFT Farmer is the best and most popular functionality present on the platform and it’s my favourite one.

First, What are MOMOs? MOMOs are small and cute cubic creatures that have the so-called hash power useful to mine $MOBOX tokens every day. Each MOMO has a quality level: Common (grey background), Uncommon (green background), Unique (blue background), Rare (violet background), Epic (yellow background) and Legendary. The quality level is important for hash power and in-game mechanics. For example, in the following image, you can see my two MOMOs, on the left unique quality level and on right the common one. The pickaxe is the hash power, actually, I have 11 hash power(Yes, I am at the beginning). On the top left, there is the level indicator, meaning that MOMOs can be levelled by combining different MOMOs.

MOMOs Families

It is important to notice that most MOMOs belong to families, if you complete a family you will get a 300 hash power bonus, but only once.

Note: the upper-left number is the availability, in this case, there are only 200 available NFTs of this family.

How to get MOMOs?

There are essentially two ways to get MOMOs. The most simple way is to buy a MOMO in the NFT marketplace where you can exchange BUSD for MOMOs.

The second one is to open a mystery box with a key. You can decide to stake for a key by participating in the Box raffle, but as you can see actually there is a chance of 26.02% to get a key.

Otherwise, you can buy the key in the marketplace.

The quality level of the unboxed MOMO has a chance of 50% being Common, 35% Uncommon, 12% Unique, 2.5% Rare and 0.5% Epic.

The important thing you should consider buying MOMOs

It is true! Some MOMOs are worth a lot of money while some can be bought for a couple of dollars. The lesson here is to look for the hash power of MOMOs. Furthermore, it is recommended to complete a crew of MOMOs because you will get a bonus of 300 hash power. Each crew or family is composed of Common, Uncommon, Unique and Rare.

Preliminary Tool Needed

Ok! Enough talking! It’s time to put hands-on with this wonderful and interesting project. Before entering Mobox is a good idea to have all prepared.

The first thing you should have is a crypto-currency wallet compatible with Binance Smart Chain, I suggest Binance which is very easy to use and has high-level security (but remember the first security level is you!). Register to MOMOVerse

Finally, it’s the moment to create our Mobox account and enter the Momoverse! If you want to support me please use my referral link to register in Mobox: Mobox Registration.

Click the link and you will be teleported to the Momoverse registration page.

It is possible to use email or a mobile phone to register an account, the choice is yours.

Once you complete the registration phase you can launch the app and enter the fantastic universe of MOMOs.

The below image is the home of the universe. Click on Explore MOMOverse and then on NFT Farmer.

In the NFT farmer, you can access different Mobox functionalities. Indeed, you can participate in Box Raffle, control your mining camp and access games.

I guess you are eager to try everything provided by Momoverse, but this “everything” is connected to your crypto wallet and this is the reason why I told you to create one on Binance and install the chrome extension.

Click on “connect wallet” and the Binance Chrome Extension will help you to create a dedicated Crypto Wallet for Mobox in order to manage your activities on the platform (also in games)

During this operation be careful, SAVE everything from the ADDRESS to the PASSPHRASE if you lose this last one you will lose your wallet! Keep it in mind.

Buy Crypto

The Mobox account is set up, we need to add funds. If you have confidence in buying NFTs or in general in making transactions with crypto you can skip this step.

Instead, if you are new in this world, like me, continue to follow my guide. First, log in to your Binance account and then go to the Fiat and Spot section.

Second, use the crypto’s search bar to filter the list of coins by typing BUSD and clicking on the buy link.

In the successive screen, you have to insert the amount of money you want to invest and Binance will calculate the amount in BUSD you will receive, when you are ready click on continue and Binance will guide you in the purchasing process.

Once you complete the transaction, in a few seconds you will see your Binance BUSD Balance updated.

Fund our Mobox account

We are ready to send BUSD to Mobox in order to buy our first NFT. Follow me!

Click on withdraw link in the line of your BUSD Balance.

From now on, be careful with every parameter you will enter. First, enter the destination address, please be careful to enter the same address of the wallet created for your Mobox account (look at the following pictures).

Be careful of wallet address — The wallet address should be the same across Binace Chrome Extension, Mobox and in the text field *address* in withdraw phase

When you select Network BNB Smart Chain you will receive the following warning message.

Don’t be afraid of the message. This message is telling us that we have to be sure that the withdrawal address supports the chosen network (BSC in our case). If you have read from the start you can be sure that Mobox supports the BSC network so you can click “Yes, I’m sure“.

Then, choose the amount you want to transfer and click the withdraw button. In a couple of minutes, you will see your Mobox wallet updated.

One last thing

Sorry, but it’s not over yet! Before moving on, repeat the previous steps to fund your Mobox account with BNB crypto, since this crypto is used to pay the fees of NFTs purchasing.

We are ready now!

How good is this moment! Everything is set up, we have our Mobox account and we have funded it with BUSD and BNB (to cover fees). Now it’s time to go into the NFT marketplace. You can reach it through NFT Farmer or from the starting page.

Once you are in the marketplace you can see all the NFTs on sale as shown before. On the right, there is the filter. You can filter by name, by quality and order by price (in the previous picture the marketplace has been filtered by epic quality).

At this point, select the MOMO you prefer and follow the purchasing process as if you were on Amazon!

Mining Camp

Once you have purchased a MOMO in a couple of seconds you will see your cubic creature in the mining camp that is in the NFT Farmer’s home, go there and scroll down. Below is my mining camp. Here you can see your hash power and $MBOX mined. You can claim the $MOBOX when you desire.

Conclusion

Finally, we are at the end! In my opinion, Mobox could be a great opportunity to create passive income. As you know passive income is the best because money works for you while you are sleeping.

But you know, there is no free lunch. Indeed, if you do some math you can notice that to make serious profits with Momoverse it is necessary to invest a good amount of money, you should think that to start to have a good hash power you should consider buying a family, and, currently, you would have to spend between 1500 and 2000 dollars to get a complete one. Thus, it depends on you and your risk tolerance.
